Problem
When I joined SalonInteractive, the marketing team lacked a unified brand identity, consistent messaging, and a scalable strategy for growth. The company faced a complex challenge — balancing visibility for salons while marketing the platform itself. On top of this, SalonInteractive relied on partner distribution and point-of-sale integrations that required consistent, high-quality content. There was also no centralized process for managing these efforts, creating inefficiencies in campaign execution and content delivery.
Solution
I took ownership of the marketing function with a focus on brand building and operational execution. Key initiatives included:
Leading a complete end-to-end rebrand, refining positioning and messaging across all channels
Developing a B2B2C marketing strategy to help salons engage clients and drive foot traffic and purchases
Building and managing a dedicated media desk (“On Behalf”) to sell media placement opportunities to brands targeting salon customers
Creating content systems and processes to support marketing for 23 partner distribution and point-of-sale integrations
Building frameworks to manage brand visibility while keeping salons in the spotlight
Results
Through these efforts, SalonInteractive transformed its marketing capabilities:
Increased email open rates +60% and CTR +30%
Nearly tripled the number of active platform users to over 80K users
Doubled revenue including $1M in new revenue generated by the On Behalf media desk
